What this program covers

Hinds' Welding and Cutting Technology program, offered at the Jackson, Rankin, Raymond, Utica, and Vicksburg campuses, awards an Associate of Applied Science (60-63 hours), a Technical Certificate (45-46 hours), and a Career Certificate (30 hours). Instruction covers SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, pipe welding, plasma arc cutting, carbon arc cutting, oxyfuel cutting, GMAW aluminum welding, and GTAW, along with math, metallurgy, welding inspection, and destructive/non-destructive testing.
