What this program covers

EMCC's Welding Technology program, offered at the Scooba and Golden Triangle campuses, offers a two-semester technical certificate and a four-semester Associate of Applied Science degree. Instruction covers SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW, plus pipe welding, basic fabrication, welding metallurgy, weld code and certification, and inspection/testing principles. The program is AWS SENSE and NCCER certified, with opportunities for NCCER Core, Welding Level 1, and Welding Level 2 certifications; applicants must complete the WorkKeys Assessment and achieve Silver Certification or higher before beginning coursework.
