What this program covers

ECCC's Welding & Cutting program is a one-year, two-semester Career Certificate course beginning in August and graduating in May. Instruction covers Shielded Metal Arc Welding (basic and advanced), Gas Metal Arc Welding (short circuit, spray arc, metal core), Flux Cored Arc Welding, and three cutting processes (oxy-fuel, plasma, air carbon arc), along with welding blueprint reading, symbols, and metallurgy. Students can earn NCCER Construction Core, NCCER Welding Level I and II, OSHA-10 Safety, and CPR credentials; students must provide their own tools and pass substance abuse testing.
