What this program covers

Barton offers a 17-credit one-semester certificate, a 38-credit two-semester certificate, and a 64-credit four-semester AAS in welding, teaching GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW along with oxy-fuel, plasma arc, and carbon arc cutting. Classes are offered in morning, midday, and evening sections, with Intro to Welding and Blueprint Reading available online once per semester. Students can pursue OSHA 10 and AWS SENSE Level I/II credentials, and the program is eligible for the Kansas Promise Act and other state financial aid programs.
