What this program covers
TCAT Pulaski's Welding Technology program is a full-time, 12-month, 1,296-clock-hour program delivered across three trimesters using individualized, competency-based instruction. Processes taught are MIG, TIG, and Arc (shielded metal arc) welding. Students can earn individual certificates -- Shielded Metal Arc Welder, Gas Metal Arc Welder, and Gas Tungsten Arc Welder (432 hours each at the Pulaski day program) -- or pursue the Combination Welder diploma. The program is also offered as an evening section in Pulaski and as a day program at the Loretto site (South Lawrence Instructional Service Center-Loretto High School, 525 2nd Avenue South, Loretto, TN), where admission is limited to Loretto High School graduates enrolling the same year.
