TCAT Hartsville's Welding Technology program is a full-time, 12-month, 1,296 clock-hour day program offering Certificate and Diploma credentials: Shielded Metal Arc Welder (432 hours), Gas Metal Arc Welder (864 hours), Gas Tungsten Arc Welder (1,296 hours), and a Welder Diploma (1,296 hours). Instruction covers shielded metal, gas metal, gas tungsten, and flux cored arc welding, plus cutting, grinding, metal preparation, blueprint reading, and metallurgy. Total tuition/fees are $4,419 with $246 in textbook/supplies costs, offered at the Main Campus, Wilson County site, and Tri-County (dual enrollment only).
