What this program covers
Manchester Community College's WDC Accelerated Welding program is a 12-week, evening/second-shift training covering MIG and TIG welding and other major welding processes, with 288 hands-on lab hours plus classroom theory in blueprint reading and math. It targets workforce shortages in the submarine shipbuilding supply chain and may provide transfer credit toward MCC's associate degree in welding. The program is fully funded through the Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance (SENEDIA) at no cost to eligible students.
