What this program covers

Central Wyoming College's welding program offers an Associate of Applied Science (60 credits), a Certificate I (30 credits, entry-level), and a Certificate II (14 credits, for those with prior experience; completable in one semester). It covers SMAW, GMAW (MIG, plate and pipe), GTAW (TIG, plate and pipe), FCAW (plate and pipe), oxyacetylene welding and cutting, pipe welding in multiple positions, and CNC plasma cutting. The program follows American Welding Society and American Petroleum Institute acceptance/rejection criteria, with welder qualification testing in plate and pipe configurations administered by AWS Certified Welding Inspectors.
