What this program covers

Academy of Careers and Technology's adult Welding Technology program offers West Virginia state certifications across multiple processes (OSHA 10 card; SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW plate and pipe certifications). A two-year (1,080-hour) comprehensive track and a one-year (540-hour) basics track are offered; the evening program meets Tuesday-Thursday 5-10pm following the county school schedule, with classes starting in August. The program qualifies for Pell, VA, WIOA, and WV Vocational Rehabilitation grants (not loans); a non-refundable $215 registration fee applies, with a tiered tuition refund policy in the first 10 days.
