What this program covers

Francis Tuttle Technology Center offers two welding tracks: Structural Welder (1 school year full-time / 2 years part-time, 960 hours) and Welding I (1/2 year full-time / 1 year part-time, 480 hours), available at the Danforth, Portland, and Reno campuses. Instruction covers SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW plus oxygen/acetylene and plasma cutting; Structural Welder prepares students for the 6G Oklahoma Department of Labor Certified Welder credential and Welding I for the 3G credential, with one certification paid by the school. Classes run in two daily sessions (7:55-11:00am and 12:30-3:35pm), and the page notes financial aid is available for those who qualify.
