What this program covers

Guilford Technical Community College offers a Welding Technology Diploma (D50420, 39 credits) plus a Welding Technology Certificate, a GMAW Fabrication Certificate, and a Robot Operator Certificate, covering SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding on plate and pipe per AWS D1.1 Structural codes. Classes run fall, spring, and summer at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing, and continuing-education welding courses run three times a year for 12 weeks; graduates are prepared to sit for a Welder Performance Qualification test including 6G pipe qualification.
