What this program covers

Montana State University-Northern's College of Technical Sciences offers a Welding Technology Certificate of Applied Science, a 9-month in-person program. Instruction covers oxy-acetylene welding and cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG), Flux Core Arc Welding, and CNC plasma arc cutting. Students prepare for American Welding Society Structural Welding Code certification, training in the Metals Building and Brockmann Center with small class sizes.
