What this program covers

Lake Land College offers an Advanced Welding Certificate (24.5 credit hours across two semesters: 11.5 then 13.0 hours) that lets students seek higher-level employment or continue into the college's AAS in welding. Coursework covers out-of-position (vertical and overhead) welding including GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, pipe welding, and aluminum and stainless steel welding, aligned with AWS SENSE I Modules; students must produce welds that pass guided bend tests. The program is based at the Mattoon campus (5001 Lake Land Blvd).
