What this program covers

Florida Gateway College's Welding Technology (O.C.) certificate is 35 credits / 1,050 clock hours, covering oxyfuel cutting, plasma arc cutting, carbon arc gouging, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW on plate, plus blueprint reading. Offered full-time (15 months, Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) or part-time (30 months, Mon-Thu 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.) in Building 19 on the main campus, with limited first-come first-served seating. AWS qualification testing is included, with FGC refunding the $400 test cost for each test passed. Tuition is $2,971.15 plus $1,217.19 in lab fees ($4,188.34 total); financial aid is available.
