Emily Griffith Technical College's Welding 1 program is a certificate program covering GMAW, thermal cutting, SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and oxy-fuel cutting and welding, offered full-time (8 months, Mon-Thu 7:30am-4pm) or part-time (18 months, Mon-Thu 5-9pm) at the Branch Campus; up to 46 credits may transfer to Front Range Community College's AAS in Welding Technology. A follow-on Welding 2 program (6 months full-time, same daily schedule, requires completion of Welding 1) covers flux-cored arc welding and pipe welding in the 2G and 5G positions, with coursework referencing API and ASME standards. Both programs give students a multiprocess welder upon graduation and are stated to be eligible for financial aid.
