What this program covers

American River College offers an Associate in Science in Welding Technology plus several standalone certificates (Shielded Metal Arc Plate and Pipe, Welding Metallurgy and Inspection, Gas Metal Arc/Flux Core, Gas Tungsten Arc Plate and Pipe, Pipe Welding, and Welding Equipment Maintenance/Blueprint Interpretation). The program is nationally accredited to AWS QC4 standards and covers SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, pipe, and structural welding along with oxyacetylene welding/cutting and plasma arc cutting. A Promise to Career Welding & HVAC Scholarship ($500) is available to graduating high school seniors.
